The Fire Rock Vent-Free firebox is a versatile combination of gas log appliance and masonry fireplace. This product provides the beauty of a true masonry fireplace with the installation and operating convenience of a gas appliance.

This product may be installed directly on a wood floor and requires no chimney or flue system. An A.N.S.I. approved vent-free gas log appliance is required for use with this firebox. Be sure the gas log appliance you choose is designated for "vent-free" operation.

A fireplace installation in a basement where use is only occasional could make this fireplace the right choice for economic reasons. Building a chimney from the basement through two or three stories plus attic space and above the roof can be very expensive. A room that is perfect for a fireplace may have a bathroom or some other obstruction directly above it that would preclude a chimney being built. These situations and many others would make a Fire Rock Vent-Free firebox an excellent choice.
